AQUEOUS SOLUTIONS. This where a solution is in water. Imagine you have a glass of water, and you drink it. it tastes normal but when you add sugar and mix it becomes sweet. Water is also known as H20, and SUGAR is C6H1206, . you can say these two together are a aqueous solution : :) If you look closely you can see the sugar in the water moving around.
In this solution the water is called the SOLVENT and the sugar is called the SOLUTE., the sugar is the one that gets dissolved. When you stir this sugar in the water, the taste of the water becomes sweet throughout.
WATER is made up of Hydrogen and Oxygen Molecules, Hydrogen is in group 0 and oxygen is in group 6 on the periodic table.
These two comes together and make a COMPOUND. GLUCOSE is a very important compound, that plants make from photosynthesis.
